Well, this year I decided to join in. Why not, right? Tis the season and all that. I like my little blog but I have to admit, I don't get too many comments and I am definitely motivated by comments. This is a good way to round up some readers and I think it's time for a giveaway too.
So here you go. As my gift, I will give one person two of my folios. One is my favorite with the little birdie and the other is rather traditional with a blue toile. There are pockets inside, handy for keeping your current quilt patterns or household info or lists of things to do, blah blah blah. Can you see the pattern I have in there? Birdies! I really have a thing for birds lately. Sorry but I'm going to keep the pattern, I tore it out of one of my quilt magazines.
Since I'm not sharing the pattern, I'll be nice and toss in six fat quarters of these lovely shot cottons.
Shot cottons are delicious. Soft, almost delicate, and they have a depth to the color from being woven with two different colors.
So there you go folks. Two folios and 6 FQ's. All you have to do is leave me a little comment. Just tell me what you like in a blog. What draws you to a blog? Humor? Great pictures? Just quilty stuff? A range of crafts? I will pick a random winner on Dec. 17th, so don't worry about giving the right answer. And you can wish me a happy holidays if you like.
Following is certainly welcome but not necessary.
Good luck with all those giveaways. Don't forget to come back and see who wins!

I love me a good tutorial w/ lots of pictures! Also, I really like hearing how projects went wrong, and how/if it was fixed. So much perfection in blogland, it's reassuring to see the dark underbelly occasionally.
ReplyDeleteLovely prizes! I look at blogs for all sorts of inspiration. I follow blogs that really speak to me - usually in a funny way, or ones that have great projects. If they have both-all the better!
ReplyDeleteI love crafty blogs. Any and all craft inspiration.
ReplyDeleteI like tutorials and seeing great pics of on going projects both crafty and quilty :D

Love your question for the comments. Am tossing around the idea of starting a blog after the new year, and will be interested too in reading others comments to your question. For me, I love tutorials (who doesn't). I shy away from video tutorials and love the pictorial type so I can go at my own speed.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Holiday season! If you feel overwhelmed, know that we all do. Have a cup of hot cocoa and bird watch!
nsue21702 at gmail dot com
I read back over your previous post - just hilarious by the way - and decided you are someone I need to follow. :) Come on over to my blog and follow for a while - I think you'll like it. I'm a wannabe organizer, sort of. But quilty, definitely. My sister is a Physician's Assistant but me, medically challenged when it comes to blood and stuff. blessings, marlene
ReplyDeleteThese are very nice gifts; it appears you have mustered up alot of comments! great. I like to go to sites where there are lessons, craft pictures, and less talk about the home & family ; while those are nice, but typically only for those who have the time to catch up on your life, etc.
ReplyDeleteI love the lessons and tutorials more so
I love blogs about anything quilting but also other fabric projects. It is so cool to see what others have done or may be having fits with - nice to learn but also to commiserate.
ReplyDeleteI love blogs that incorporate a sense of humor and realism into their descriptions but mainly I'm attracting to blogs that deal with sewing and quilting stuff. I definitely find solace in reading about a blogger's frustrating attempts to finish a project, or the first success after a series of projects that were sub-par. Thanks for the offer and Happy Holidays!
ReplyDeletedifferent crafts i guess cause i even visit the blogs where the pictures are very small, happy holidays
ReplyDeleteryderryder38@hotmail.com

ReplyDeletePersonally I like a range of crafts but a sense of humor is great to.
ReplyDeletemtrose59047@gmail.com
What keeps me coming back to a blog is a consistent focus on one (or a few) topics, and great photos.
ReplyDeleteI think one of my favorite things about blogs is reading about mistakes! Silly I know but I love knowing that I am not the only person who manages to put a sewing machine needle through their finger, accidentally had fabric bleed, or cut things in completely wrong measurements! LOL!
ReplyDeleteThank You!
ReplyDeleteMef from Italy :)
I like tutorials and inspirational pictures.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy blogs about being crafty and being a mommy. It's also a bonus when a craft blog includes tutorials to the items that are created.

Thanks for a great giveaway. I love great pictures, humour, tutorials and of course, giveaways on blogs. I like to see that a blogger is passionate about the contents of their blog, not just using it as a promotional tool.
ReplyDeleteOne of the things that draws me to a blog is the sense of sharing, I love looking at the different kinds of projects someone is involved with. And I love a sense of humor in a blog! I also love the kind of things that they do at Sew Mama Sew blog. It's really nice being able to find different blogs that you might not find on your own. Thanks for joining in!
ReplyDeleteI like lots of pictures and a little humor!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy blogs that post useful information (useful for me at least)! Great pictures are a bonus. :)

ReplyDeleteI like a blog which have regulary new posts , tutorials and inspire me with lots of pictures.
ReplyDeleteBirdies! -grin- I really like when blogs have good pictures and tutorials. It makes it so much more fun when you can actually make the things, and see how well they might turn out. They usually don't turn out as well as the picture, but it doesn't stop one from trying.
ReplyDeleteembyrfire@hotmail.com
There are two things I like in a blog - one is PICTURES, the other is REGULAR POSTS (I, myself, am guilty of not doing the latter, shame on me:)

Awesome! I love great pictures, stories, and tutorials.
ReplyDeletePrimarily I'm looking for someone with similar taste to me--better for me if they feature one item I'd love to make myself, rather than ten that just aren't my thing
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway!
ReplyDeleteNice pictures, humourous content and if possible clear tutorials!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this stuff.
Oh, I'm with you - I love comments but don't get many on my blog.
ReplyDeleteWhat I like in a blog is little stories about what's happening, along with photos of projects and tutorials. I do enjoy humour too. I have enough heaviness in my life (don't we all) so I read blogs for entertainment as much as for information.
What a lovely giveaway! I just love blogs!!! All types. I do like funny/crafty ones best though. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteashleycardon@yahoo.com

ReplyDeleteWhat a great giveaway. I could use something like that as I am always carrying my patterns with me to work so I can read them during my down time. I like blogs that have a lot of pictures of the in progress works. Not so much tutorials, although those are helpful as well, but just pics of things along the way. I also like pictures of clothes on people rather then dress forms. Thanks for your giveaway and Happy Holidays.
ReplyDeleteMichelle

ReplyDeleteI read a variety of blogs but one thing they all have in common is humor. Not necessarily a joker, but a lightness on life. I love seeing a blog that takes their subject seriously, but not life. :) I think your folders are awesome. :) I like the birdie one as well. I read a few of your blog entries and I've become a new follower. *L* I think it's the "Don't judge me" in bold that did it.
